With busy families and friends often stretched thin and the healthcare system unable to provide consistent emotional support, many seniors face chronic isolation and the feeling of loneliness . Loneliness is more than just a feeling, the physical impact of loneliness is equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day, significantly increasing the risk of heart disease and cognitive decline. Our elderly start feeling “forgotten” in a way.
The Solution
We reduce elderly loneliness by providing a bespoke gift service. Families can send their loved ones a "Connection Package" featuring personalised letters, uplifting poems, and nostalgic treats. It is a tangible reminder that they are never forgotten. By providing consistent emotional presence, we help alleviate the pressure on the aged-care system. Our packages show residents they are seen and valued, which improves mental well-being and helps combat the physical decline caused by isolation. Pressed & Posted acts as the bridge between generations. By fostering an emotional connection, we give seniors the motivation and joy needed to stay engaged with the world, effectively minimizing chronic social isolation and its health risks.
